What is random color picker?

A random color picker is a tool that allows you to randomly select colors. This can be useful for choosing colors for your website, designing a logo, or picking colors for a painting. There are many different ways to generate random colors, and the best way will often depend on your specific needs.

Who can benefit from random color generator?

Random color generators can be useful for a wide variety of people, including:

  1. Web designers who need to choose colors for their website
  2. Graphic designers who need to create a logo or design with multiple colors
  3. Painters who want to choose colors for their painting
  4. Anyone who wants to randomly select colors for any purpose!

How does random color generator work?

There is no one definitive answer to this question since there are a variety of ways that a random color generator could work. However, one common approach is to use an algorithm that generates a random number within a certain range, and then maps that number to a specific color. For example, if the range was 0-255, then the algorithm could generate a random number between 0 and 255, and that number would correspond to a specific color. There are many different ways to generate a random number, so the specific algorithm used may vary.

Here is the quick instruction on how to use our online randon color generator:

What is hex?

Hex is a 6-digit, 24 bit, hexadecimal code that represents Red, Green, and Blue. Hexadecimal is used because it is shorter than the binary form of RGB (Red, Green, Blue), which would be 8 bits per channel for a total of 32 bits. The number 00 in hex represents the lowest intensity of that color, while FF represents the highest intensity of that color. In between, there are a total of 256 gradations for each color, which is why hex is used. The first two digits represent red, the next two green, and the last two blue.

What is Pantone?

Pantone is the world-renowned authority on color. Pantone colors are used by design professionals worldwide as a standard language for accurate color communication from design concept through production. Utilizing the Pantone Matching System (PMS), colors are matched with Pantone swatches to ensure correct color when reproduced in print, paint and fabric. Colors are designated with a "PMS" number (e.g., PMS 021 C). The first number following the "PMS" indicates the shade or hue family, and the second number represents the specific color within that family. The letter at the end ("C", "U", etc.) corresponds to the chroma of the color - how light or dark the color is. "C" indicates a chroma of 100%, while "U" indicates a chroma of 50%.

What is CMYK?

CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) is the standard printing color model used in offset printing for full-color documents. In this four-color printing process, cyan, magenta, yellow and black inks are combined to produce a full range of colors. This color model is referred to as "subtractive" because inks subtract brightness from white paper as they are laid down in overlapping layers.

Why can`t I get an exact match to a color?

Due to the nature of CMYK printing, it is not possible to achieve an exact color match for every color. In some cases, the color you select may print slightly darker or lighter than expected, or the hue may be slightly different. If an exact color match is critical for your project, we recommend choosing one of our Spot Color inks, or ordering a physical sample swatch before printing your full project.
